3 Ways We Should Be Supporting Each Other
It has always been clear to me who the strong women are. They’re always the ones that are building each other up instead of tearing each other down. But women sincerely cannot become an unstoppable force for good unless we change the way we are with each other: how competitive we can be. At some point everyone has experienced some kind of petty comment, mean girl snubbing or trolling, especially on social media. But this needs to all change because WE are SO much better than that, and we can DO so much more than that. Girls compete with each other; women empower one another, and one woman’s success should be an inspiration for yours. Here are three ways you can easily build and encourage the women around you in business as well as in every day life.
It is important to applaud and congratulate someone on their success, in life as well as in the workplace. Even if they're in the same work field as you. The world is a big place and there is enough room for all of us to succeed. As females, we should support and compliment other females, it's not a competition and it never has been.
Uplift Each Other
There are so many simple ways you can support the women around you, especially with social media and texting being so prevalent today. You can be there for someone as easy as posting a comment or sending a text message, use that in a positive way. No more snarky comments or gossiping. The more we support and encourage others, the more support and encouragement we get in return.
It is important to be there for people in all aspects of their life and yours. We all have stuff going on in our lives, and sometimes the last thing we want to do is go to another event, send another text message or listen to any more problems. But these are the things we need to do in order to be there for one another as women and as friends. Be there when something wonderful happens, be there when something goes wrong, and be there whenever they need help. We are social beings and we are spending more and more time isolating ourselves in our busy lives, but we need to make an effort to not do that.
A community of women can help support your goals and objectives. There is a lot of tearing down in our society when it should be our duty to uphold each other, regardless of our opinions and beliefs.
